Clinical Editor
Job description
We are in search of a Clinical Editor to join us on a consultancy or freelance basis. This role is crucial for ensuring the precision and accuracy of clinical and regulatory documents produced by the Medical Writing team.
Responsibilities
- Review and edit clinical documents, regulatory submissions, and related materials for quality assurance.
- Conduct thorough data accuracy checks and verify statements in clinical and regulatory documents, tables, literature summaries, and other internal documents.
- Edit and proofread documents to enhance grammar, spelling, style, and format.
- Ensure consistency of document content with internal, client, and regulatory guidelines.
- Format, style, and troubleshoot document functionality and presentation.
- Collaborate with medical writers and team members to ensure document accuracy.
- Maintain readiness for inspections related to medical writing activities.
Profile
- Exceptional language skills (reading, writing, editing, team communication).
- Ability to interpret clinical data and literature effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Effective communication with professionals from diverse backgrounds.
- Familiarity with the AMA Manual of Style and other relevant style guides.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, including formatting, styles, cross-referencing, and bookmarks.
- Proficiency in Acrobat/PDF software.
- Experience with Veeva, SharePoint, PerfectIt, and StartingPoint is advantageous.
- Fluent in English.
